Frédéric Chesnais is a graduate of the French institute of political sciences (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris) and holds degrees in Finance and in law. He started his career as a financial consultant and practised as a lawyer focused on merger and acquisitions. He then worked for Lazard from 1995 to 2000. From 2001 to 2007, he was part of the management team of the Atari Group, the videogame publisher, first as Deputy COO and Chief Financial Officer of the Group, and then as Chief Executive Officer of Atari Interactive. In 2007, he left Atari to create his own videogame production company. In 2013, he became a significant shareholder of the Atari group through the purchase of Atari securities held by BlueBay.
