Duane Jacobsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Blocksafe®. He also holds the responsibility of Chief Financial Officer. The mission of Blocksafe®: Securing IoT with Blockchain Technology Blocksafe® is building a blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) network for IoT data security, storage, and management via our proprietary platform StreamIoT™. StreamIoT™ is a blockchain-powered IoT platform where device ownership is private, devices can store and protect data, devices can be authenticated and the information collected by the device is owned and private to the user. Jacobsen is a veteran FinTech Payments and Blockchain professional with 34 years of executive management experience in, operations, product development, marketing and finance. He has been recognized for his exceptional achievements, including American Express’s Premier Award ‘The Chairman’s Award for Quality’ and the Paybefore™ ‘Award for Best Government-Funded Program’ for the BenefitsDirect Platform. Jacobsen has focused expertise in developing disruptive technology across several verticals. His background includes a 10-year tenure at American Express as Vice President, where his work resulted in several patents in the US, Canada and internationally. Following that, he served in executive leadership roles including Vice President for Total Systems Services (TSYS), where he led several cross-functional teams responsible for the birth and progress of the general purpose reloadable prepaid card industry. Jacobsen also serves as President of MET Solutions LLC, and currently serves as Acting President/COO for Trefoil Technology. Jacobsen earned his bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from Rutgers University and attended The Wharton School in a special EMBA program with American Express. Jacobsen is a licensed accountant and a Six Sigma Green Belt.
