William Quigley is CEO of WAX, a global digital commerce platform for creating and trading virtual items. He co-founded Tether, the first company to tokenize the US dollar. Tether now generates $10 trillion in annual trading volume. He co-founded the first crypto investment fund, Crypto Capital Partners, that invested in many of the leading blockchain companies including Bitfury, Kraken, Coinbase, Ledger and Circle. William incubated numerous blockchain based businesses including GoCoin, a pioneer in crypto payment processing and Blade the first bitcoin debt card. William co-founded Clearstone Venture Partners, an early stage focused venture capital firm. As a venture capitalist, William financed numerous Internet companies at idealab, the most successful consumer Internet incubator of the Web 1.0 era. Earlier he oversaw strategic planning and finance operations for The Walt Disney Company’s licensing division, the world’s largest licensor. William received his MBA from Harvard where he was appointed a Kauffman Fellow. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
